SMALL MAGIC BEAST

The floating, glowing gliders of the faeic and ancient forests are beautiful magic beasts that feed upon and follow the nigh-invisible aether currents. Intelligent compared to most beasts, aether gliders often serve as messengers, mounts or companions to fey-folk. Even glimpsing an aether glider is a rare event, often thought of as a vengeful spirit or daemon by karthians due to its unnatural glow. For this, it is a very shy creature and will not show itself whenever another creature is around, unless the creature is friendly or has proven itself gentle.

AETHER GLIDER CULTURE

Aether gliders, while not creatures that will build, live as simple cultural herds and groups, humming and singing to one another. They also often live alongside fey-folk and will gather near their shrines or villages.

Aether gliders are beasts of nature and therefore respect faeic creatures as well as the greater powers and spirits of nature.

AETHER GLIDER DIMORPHISMS

While the male and female of the aether glider species are nigh-identical in their sizes and shapes, the male of the aether glider varies in shimmering blues and purples while the female will more often be of a teal colouring and have a white spotted back.
